The main source of Aluminium in the world is Bauxite

• Actually, bauxite is not a mineral it's a rock composed of Aluminium bearing minerals.

• Bauxite is composed of aluminum oxides, aluminum hydroxides, clay minerals, and insoluble materials such as quartz, hematite, magnetite, siderite, and goethite.
• Bauxite is washed in a hot solution of sodium hydroxide using the Bayer process, which filters the aluminum from bauxite 
• it is found in wet tropical and subtropical climates
• according to mineralogy Bauxite is classified into two genetic types Lateriet, karst type deposits 
• it is found in different colors such as yellow, white, grey, brown, reddish-brown, pink.
