India witnesses the killing of Photojournalist Danish Siddiqui in Afghanistan

Danish Siddiqui was killed while capturing the clashes between Taliban and Afghan troops in Spin Boldak district of Kandahar city. 

Afghanistan President, Ashraf Ghani expresses grief and says "while I extend my heartfelt condolences to Siddiqui's family and also to our media family, I reiterate my government's unwavering commitment to freedom of speech and protection of free media and journalists."

Mr. Siddiqui completed his Master's in Mass and Communication from Jamia Millia Islamic University. 
Mr. Siddiqui, winner of Pulitzer prize in 2018 for covering the Rohingya crisis which was spread to Bangladesh from Myanmar. His photographs exposed the violence Rohingya refugees faced in fleeing Myanmar. Mr. Siddiqui also captured images of Delhi Riots, Covid - 19,  Migrant exodus, The Hong Kong Protests, Sectarian unrest in a Delhi Suburb.
