I Still Remember

I still remember
The day you said
You want to hold my hand
I wish
I could have told you
That I just don't want to hold onto your hand
But I want to hold onto you
For FOREVER

I still remember
The way you inspired me to write my heart out
So that one day
You'll get a chance to cheer me up
Whenever I'll recite my poem in front of a crowd
I wish
I could have told you
That I just don't want you to cheer me up only when I'll recite my poem
But also for the rest of my life

I still remember
The moment you got angry with me
Just because I went out at the night
Bcoz you were protective for me
I wish
I could have told you
That I loved the way you were being angry with me
For ME

I still remember
Those days when we used to talk on video calls for hours
I wish
I could have told you
That I want you in front of my eyes practically
And not just virtually

I still remember
When you used to teach me how to express myself in front of everyone
I wish
I could have told you
That I would love to stay quiet
So that you'll always be there to speak up for ME

I still remember
How you planned of us drinking your favorite Old Monk
On my 18th birthday
I wish
I could have told you
That for getting drunk
I don't need any drink
I just need your psychotropic eyes

I still remember
The way you always used to say
That you're showing patience in our THING because I was your little one
I wish
I could have told you
Not to be patient so that
I can see your impatient and childish side
The one which gives me the right
To handle you like a mature one and treat you like my little one

I still remember
The moment when we watched a movie together
Even after being far away from each other and you said that
One day we'll be watching it sitting together
I wish
I could have told you
That no matter how apart we are
But still, you're a very important part of my heart
